Meet Me In The South Coast - Journey to Paradise

The Shift created Meet Me In The South Coast to provide a positive focus on fire affected areas in the South Coast and an opportunity to strengthen the areas identity in the wake of the fires.

This event was designed by us to be a vehicle to boost visitation and create an off-season tourist influx by directly driving the economy of the region. With tourists from Greater NSW, Australia and the International community spending much needed funds with local businesses and putting money directly into their hands.

The Shift worked tirelessly to confirm a $70,000 grant through AusTrade to ensure the event can happen – postponing to 2021 due to the pandemic.

Participants have the option to only attend the festival or add a fundraising journey to their ticket.

Journey activities consist of run, walk, cycle, swim, paddle, Harley-Davidson ride, with all starting from different parts of the South Coast region, and converging in the ‘Middle’ at the Finish Festival area.
